SEPTEMBER 22: We have named our project ¡°Viruses, how do they work?¡± Also, we have a project mascot:
OCTOBER 6: Matteo met with Dr. Pankratz today and discussed the direction of the project, also gave us some reading material.
OCTOBER 14: We met out of class and compiled some of the research that we had found, at the moment it¡¯s mostly just theoretical information and classifications.
OCTOBER 22: We presented our project outline in class.
OCTOBER 31: We dressed up like viruses for Halloween?
NOVEMBER 5: We met-up again out of class to continue work on the website, also we discussed that we would be delving (mainly) into the workings of classic parasitic viruses.
NOVEMBER 10: Matteo sent Dr. Pankratz the title and abstract of the presentation:
Viruses, how do they work?
The project will discuss how viruses work, in general.
NOVEMBER 11: We are discussing the construction of a sample virus for the presentation; a pay-load-less virus whose only purpose is to reproduce.
NOVEMBER 13: We met outside of class again, recompiling our information into a presentable form for the power-point of our presentation.
NOVEMBER 14: We met out of class yet again, Caesar has finished a working website.
NOVEMBER 15: Our presentation is scheduled for Thursday. We met out of class and continued polishing our presentation, our virus is constructed and compiling under Borland¡¯s compiler, but not infecting for some reason.
NOVEMBER 16: We met out of class today, desperately trying to get the virus to function. The power-point seems ready to go. We discussed how to present the material a bit more.
NOVEMBER 17: Advisement day! We met up after Matteo¡¯s advisement and worked more on the website, looked over the power-point more, made sure we knew what to say for the presentation. Unfortunately, the virus is still not working. We asked Dr. Pankratz what we should do about the virus not functioning, he said it was not a big deal as long as we can explain how the virus should work.
