After you went through bypassing the router (if you are using a router) and your image server is still not working, then you need to change some settings for your firewall.
1. Windows XP Firewall
To change the settings for the Windows XP firewall you need to go to the start menu and click on Control Panel. From the control panel click on security settings. Once there you need to click on Windows Firewall at the bottom of the page.
From here, click on the Exceptions tab. Once here click the Add Program... button. Add Dorgem and/or Trackercam and press OK. Next press Add Port... and add the ports that you are using for the image server. Default for Dorgem is 8080 and 4040 for Trackercam. Once this is finished there is only one more step. Click on the advanced tab, and click settings for your internet access. In here you need to make sure Web Server (HTTP) is checked. This is shown below. And now your computer should be working with the image server unless you have Norton System Works and in that case go to the next step.
2. Norton System Works
If you have Norton System Works and are using their Internet Worm, then you need to change some settings. First open Norton System Works, and click on options->Norton Antivirus. Once in here click on Internet Worm Protection. My recommendation here is to just turn it off permanently.
