Installing .Net
Setting-up the Local Server
The next part of the installation process is to set up the local machine as a personal server so that you can run the .Net application locally. Note, that to be able to set-up your machine as a local server you must be running ether Microsoft 2000, Microsoft NT, Microsoft XP/Professional. Start by going into the add/delete programs area under the control panel. Then go to the add/remove window component tab, on the left side of the screen. Now enable the Internet Information Services component. And then push the Next button to begin the set process.
Note – after setting-up the local server and opening a .Net application .Net would run. You have to update the version of ASP that you are running on the machine. To do this just follow the instructions given on the error message prompt.
Note – that we may have some extra disc that you didn’t install in this process. These discs weren’t need for the project.
