Our team developed the Faculty Nomination and Voting System (NVS) for our Senior BA445 Systems Project.
This course is the capstone for the Computer
Information Systems major. The course examines the phases of the systems life cycle by requiring
students to complete system projects solving real organizational problems.
We developed the system with conformance to all phases of the systems life cycle including problem identification, information requirements, alternative solutions, page/report design, logical design, training, system testing, installation and conversion. Our team completed formal walkthroughs of our project and completed detailed documentation of the Faculty Nomination and Voting System 5.0. Our project was presented at the St. Norbert College 7th Annual Student Conference in Economics & Business and was granted the best paper presentation award. We also presented our system to the Nominations and Elections Committee and to faculty and staff at the St. Norbert College faculty meeting in order to bring awareness to faculty members that a solution to their voting woes has finally been provided! |
