Brief statement of problem, opportunity, or directive:

St. Norbert College has been having difficulty keeping in contact with its alumni. Students and faculty at the college would like to be able to gather information from past students long after they graduate. This would be helpful for students to plan beyond college and for faculty to more wisely advise and teach in certain directions. It would also help former students to keep in contact, to keep up old relationships and communicate their outlook on life outside of the college.

Brief statement of expected solution:

I intend to create a web-based system that will be implemented through encouragement of professors of senior classes at St. Norbert College. This system will allow graduates of St. Norbert College to become standard users, able to input their general personal and work information into a database. The database will be maintained by an administrator (most likely a faculty member) at SNC and will have functionality to store pertinent alumni information and create sorted reports of its data.
