Communicating with the CMUcam3
With a serial console
Working with the desktop client
How to use Euryale Desktop with the euryale firmware flashed to the CMUcam3:
- Connect the CMUcam3 to the PC as described above
- Open Euryale Desktop
- Select the correct serial port and connect
- Turn on the CMUcam3
Demo mode, which is similar to the default behaviour of the spoonBot firmware can be entered in two different ways:
- by pressing on the CMUcam3 within five seconds of turning it on and then again to choose a new colour to track; or
- by select «Enter automatic mode» from the «Command» menu once the CMUcam3 is waiting for a command.
Otherwise, the CMUcam3 merely waits for a command. A serial console, such as PuTTY may be used to communicate with the CMUcam3.
