Welcome to the home of Off The Rails, a senior capstone project by John McGorey. Off The Rails is a simulation of a computer-controlled railway table that is intended to be used to educate people on the operating system concepts of racing conditions and shared resources through the metaphor of a congested railyard. For more information about the project, view the project page.
This project is for the CSCI 460 class at St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. Its purpose is to test what students have learned throughout their time in the computer science program. For documentation on Off the Rails, please see the documentation page. To follow John's journey in completing the project, check out the blog section.
