I was tasked with developing a phone application that is useful for senior citizens to make and receive phone calls with the purpose of the app not requiring significant dexterity or computer skills.

My love for technology stems back to my sophomore year of highschool when I built my first computer. I ordered all of the parts and began assembling it, as I was doing it I fell in love with the hardware. I became obsessed over the parts and how they were made. Over time I began to realize that the hardware means nothing without some sweet software! I began creating scripts for games in lua and started to like coding a bit more. As time went on it was time for me to go to college and major in something I loved which would have been computer engineering, but I decided to choose a different route and pursue the software side of things. At first I hated it, I began questioning my decisions, but I stuck with it and began liking it more and more. As time went on I liked the idea of being a software engineer and began developing the skills to pursue that dream.
This section consists of my heuristics, meaning how do I intend to approach this project and what my thoughts are behind it. Well I believe this project is extremely practical. There aren't many senior citizens who can properly use the phone without it being a hassle because of some sort of physical or mental ailment. This hits very close to home. At the end of my grandparent's lives they couldn't properly use a smart phone or remember phone numbers. By creating an app that makes communication easier for seniors, I will not only be helping them, but also helping their loved ones effectively communicate with them. I intend to fully invest myself in this project because it is something that can help those in need. Due to time constraints I'm limited in making it a multi-platform application, but I intend to make it a fully functional app for android devices.
