Initial Frustrations...

**UPDATE** February 6th, 2022

I was successfully able to download the Tobii Experience app from the Microsoft store.

My troubleshooting steps were as follows:

  • Resetting the Microsoft Store

  • Running all Windows updates up through 21H2

  • Updating all related Eye Tracker drivers via Device Manager

  • Restarting the following services: Tobii Service, Tobii Eye Tracker Generic Service, and Tobii Runtime Service

  • Performing a complete uninstall of all Tobii Eyetracker 5 related applications--including deleting from the Registry Editor (using Revo Uninstaller for assistance)

I attempted to use the Tobii Eyetracking Device for the first time today. I installed the drivers and attempted to install the corresponding app through the Microsoft Store, but it would not allow for an install. I receive an external drive device error, saying the device must be configured to FAT32 or EXFAT. I also receive an error that says, "Something unexpected happened. Reporting this problem will help us understand it better. you can wait a bit and try again, or restart your device. That may help".
