Welcome to my Capstone project website! I am Lauren Pamperin, and I am a senior at St. Norbert College. In May of 2022, I will be graduating with a major in computer science and a minor in music. My capstone project blends both of these interests together and I hope you will continue to follow me on this journey!
Philosophy Statement
I ended up in the computer science field by accident. My junior year of high school I signed up to take a class that was intended to be an independent learning experience. Students were to create their own project related to technology and work on it over the course of the semester. I took the class thinking it was going to be an extra free period. At the time, I had little to no interest in technology. Long story short, the teacher ended up leaving before the school year started and the class ended up changing. That class is where I fell in love with technology and programming and where I ultimately decided to pursue a major in computer science.
I have always loved learning new things and exploring the “why” and “how” of the world around me. I have also always loved solving puzzles and riddles, as well as playing trivia games. And while there are some days that make me want to throw my computer out of a window, the seemingly endless possibilities that programming creates is what continues to inspire me.
