Project Timeline (Dates and tasks are subject to change) Week 1: 1/23/05 - 1/29/05 Research project requirements and definition. Week 2: 1/30/05 - 2/5/05 - 1/29/05 Start experimenting with web cam and looking at sample code. Week 3: 2/6/05 - 2/12/05 Redefine specification of the project. Start producing code to connect to the web cam. Start designing algorithms for the object movement detection. Continue with complete system design. Week 4: 2/13/05 - 2/19/05 Finish the system design and plan. Finish the web cam connection module of the application. Start coding the object movement detection algorithm. Week 5: 2/20/05 - 2/26/05 Continue working on the object movement detection algorithm. Start developing the mouse movement section of the application. Week 6: 2/27/05 - 3/5/05 Finish the object movement detection algorithm. Finish the mouse movement section of the application and combine it with the detection algorithm. Start debugging this section of code. Week 7: 3/6/05 - 3/12/05 Continue debugging the detection algorithm and mouse movement logic. Start adding some filtering noise technology for twitching or movements. Week 8: 3/13/05 - 3/19/05 Continue working out bugs and start finalizing the application. Finish coding the filtering noise functionality. Review the progress of the application. Decide what bells and whistles can be added before the deadline. Week 9: 3/20/05 - 3/26/05 Spring Break (South Padre) Week 10: 3/27/05 - 4/2/05 Add any finial coding changes and additions to the application. Develop some test programs to demonstrate my application. Week 11: 4/3/05 - 4/9/05 Continue debugging the application. Start creating documentation required for the system. Week 12: 4/10/05 - 4/16/05 Final testing and last modifications Week 13: 4/17/05 - 4/23/05 Final testing! Week 14: 4/24/05 - 4/30/05 Create Presentation Finalize web page and documentation Week 15: 5/1/05 - 5/7/05 Presentations Week 16: 5/8/05 - 5/14/05 Graduate!
