About - PROJECT PROGRESS

My Mission

My mission is to create a feature-full application with smooth functionality that allows one to create and play their own word search games. The ability to import libraries from external sources and play other people games with an intuitive interface is the goal. Adding the ability to challenge others online with different types of game modes would add a competitive aspect that would make the app more appealing to a larger audience, so that is another implementation I am going for.

My Parameters

I have met all of these requirements in the process. Thought there are still a few bugs here and there, everything does work most of the time.

My Environment and Resources

The development environment I am using for this project has a decently large learning curve. This is a development software that lets me design and test applications for Android devices. In order to learn and implement my new ideas, I will have to reach out to external sources to get some new information.

Servers/Editors Used

Part of this project is the ability to import lists of words from external sources in order to create new custom games. For this, I will try to add a simple ability to fetch word lists from the school server. Another thing I would really like to try, is to add some sort of multiplayer feature. Ideas are currently in the works.

Opinions and What I'd Do Differently

If I could start over, I think I would try something different from Android Studio. Large learning curve and tons of features is a little overwhelming.
