This week the workload has been slow but steady. I’ve read through the paper Guards, Galleries, Fortresses, and the Octoplex written by T.S. Michael, in order to begin preparing for writing the inevitable algorithm to determine the necessary number of cameras to continually view the exhibit drawn by the user. I’ve also begun scouring the cited and suggested works from Michael’s paper in order to get more insight on this.
Aside from that, I’ve begun going through a previous iteration of a similar project in order to get an idea of scope and scale of this project, along with a list of Do’s and Do Nots. Sifting through this work has helped me discern a good path to take on how to construct the obstacle detection program, as well as the use of some methods. However, the previous project was written in Windows Forms, so I have to assemble the correct classes in order to get the correct methods to work. Of this, I’ve only found messy, convoluted, “hand-wavy” solutions, so that will be part of my work going into next week. I also want to have some idea of a timeline for this, so I plan to sit down and hash that out as well.
We’re done.(?)(!)(%) I’m truly not sure which punctuation best suits that sentence. It definitely doesn’t feel like it’s over yet. Then again, when you’ve been . . .
