Data 400 Capstone | February 3, 2026
My journey into Data Analytics wasn't a straight line. I originally started in engineering during high school, but I realized that while I enjoyed the math portion, I didn't enjoy the heavy focus on chemistry and science. Around that time, my dad introduced me to Data Analytics, and it struck me as the perfect blend of the things I actually loved: math, economics, and computer science.
I was still a little unsure when I arrived on campus, but that changed quickly. Intro to Data Analytics 101 with Dr. Schaffer was one of the best classes I have ever taken, and it confirmed that I was on the right path.
Over time, my interest turned into a genuine passion for problem-solving. I love looking at a raw problem, finding a solution, and most importantly, understanding the "why" behind it. I am grateful that St. Norbert College has set me up for success in this growing field. I look forward to ending my time here with a capstone project that showcases the skills I’ve learned and launching a career I feel confident in.
As of right now (5/13/26), I don't have a solid job yet, and I am still interviewing to find a full-time role to use my shiny new degree in. I will be in Milwaukee with my family for the foreseeable future and am excited to travel. I am also going to take up coaching soccer part-time back at my hometown soccer club to give back and help grow the game I love so much. I am very excited for the future, and this is just the beginning!
