Philosophy

When I was in high school I had no idea what I wanted to do. No subject really interested me so when I came to college I had no idea. As fate would have it, my advisor at during that first advisement time was Dr. McVey. After some searching she recommended that I try CS 110 and that was it. I always wanted what I did in life to be a challenge and this discipline defiantly held up in that area. In 110 I found that I actually enjoyed taking a computer and making it do what I wanted. That coupled with the idea that what I created would be of use to people made me love it. Now I love it when I get a huge project to do that I can sit down and see the progress that I have made, it gives me a since of accomplishment and satisfaction. I want what I do to be used by people, to this end, I know that what I make must be good from a software engineering point of view and from a user point of view; this is the task that I have grown to love.
