About Me.
My name is Olivia Alberts and I am senior at St. Norbert College. I will be graduating in May 2020 with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Spanish.
I was born and raised in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Growing up, I always had a love for the logic and problem-solving aspect of math. I continued taking math classes throughout elementary and high school. My senior year of high school I took my first Computer Science course. Ever since, I've loved it. The things I loved about math drew me into Computer Science. After my first college semester in the fall of 2017, I knew Computer Science was something I wanted to do.
One of my favorite parts of this field is being able to continually learn. Because technology is changing rapidly, things will never stay stagnant. I will always have the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in tech.
In addition to Computer Science, some of my favorite activities include hiking in beautiful Door County, cuddling with my cat, baking, trying new restaurants and exciting foods, and spending time with friends and family.
As of May 13th, 2020, my future career plans are undecided.

Philosophy.
Ever since I took my first computer science class in high school, I've known this is something I wanted to do. Originally, I came into college thinking I wanted to major in Mathematics. After taking CSCI 110, Intro to Computer Programming, I fell in love with learning the material yet again. From there, my knowledge has expanded immensely. I love the puzzle and the challenge that accompanies Computer Science. The feeling after finally solving a problem I've been working on is one of the best feelings in the world. In an ever-changing world of technology, entering into the Computer Science field allows me to never stop learning and never stop solving puzzles.
