Project Description

Using hardware designed to track where a person is looking on a screen, create an application that maps the user’s eye movements to the movements of the computer’s mouse cursor on screen.

Project Requirements

  1. Research and recommend an eye-tracking device.
  2. Provide a calibration application, if necessary.
  3. Filter out an/or smooth external “noise” caused by movements of the user.
  4. Test the interface using existing applications and, of course, applications of your own creation.
  5. Keep manual initialization to a minimum.
  6. Design experiments to test the accuracy of the interface.
  7. Analyze different techniques and implement at least one to “click”.
