Mathematics and Computer Science Majors

My name is Hunter Janssen and I am a senior at SNC who will be graduating in May 2025. Throughout my time here, I have been working towards a double major in mathematics and computer science. After graduation, I look forward to starting my career in software development. During my free time, I love to keep busy by spending time at my cottage, golfing, or woodworking.

Philosophy Statement

Going into my first year of college, I was lucky enough to be in a position where I would have the opportunity to pursue two majors. Early on, I knew that mathematics would be one of my majors but this almost seemed meaningless without application. After my first semester in CS110, I was happy to discover the considerable overlap between math and computer science. It was at this point I knew that I wanted to pursue computer science as my second major at SNC. Since then, I have become passionate about computer programming and enjoy its dynamic environment, thought-provoking logic, and innovative nature.
