Description

Construct a mobile application that assists commuters in locating open parking spaces on campus and an application that allows the parking administration to analyze trends in usage with respect to users, locations, and time. Develop a database to assist both users and administrators.

Requirements

Users:

1. Be able to determine available spaces (textually and visually) in multiple lots and perhaps time remaining on occupied spaces.

2. Pay for parking using a debit type arrangement.

3. View time remaining on your parking eMeter, and perhaps add additional time.

4. Reserve a space for a date/time.

Administrators:

5. Construct a GUI connection to the database that allows the administrator to answer questions such as:

● What and/or how many spaces are available now? At 8am on Friday? In Lot B?

● Who (and how many) uses Lot B?

● How often does a particular user use Lot B?

● If a parking employee examines a vehicle in a parking place, is the car registered for that location?

● What are the busiest times? Was the lot ever full?

● What is the average number of vehicles in a particular lot during a given time block during weekdays?

6. A knowledgeable administrator should be able to enter an appropriate query.
