Project Description

Week 1: Jan 23 - Jan 27

  1. Got project: CMUcam
  2. Initial research and purchasing of the camera

Week 2: Jan 30 – Feb 03

  1. CMUcam arrives
  2. Hands on Research
  3. Development of Joystick Program (stub [junk] programs used to learn concepts then integrated into the joystick program)

Week 3: Feb 06 – Feb 10

  1. Timeline
  2. Demo of Proof of concept
  3. Joystick Program Finished and integrated into the Robot Control (joystick) program form my IS

Week 4: Feb 13 – Feb 17

  1. Begin SDK development in C
  2. Begin Documentation for SDK
  3. Either use Karl’s API or develop my own (depending on how his works)

Week 5: Feb 20 – Feb 24

  1. Continue SDK development
  2. Work on Documentation during SDK development

Week 6: Feb 27 – Mar 03

  1. SDK development Completed
  2. Start Website

Week 7: Mar 06 – Mar 10

  1. Prepare Walkthroughs
  2. Walkthrough suggestions for others
  3. Continue work on website (Basic Site should be up)

Mar 13 – Mar 17

  1. Add more advanced features onto the website
  2. Begin Servo Testing with the CMUcam

            SPRING BREAK

Week 8: Mar 20 – Mar 24

  1. Servo program should be completed
  2. Start Follow me Program (drive or servo movement)

Week 9: Mar 27 – Mar 31

  1. Finish follow me program
  2. Begin to finalize project

Week 10: Apr 03 – Apr 07

  1. Testing and debugging
  2. Review code and enhance were needed

Week 11: Apr 10 – Apr 14

  1. Free Week (probably going to it snag and need it for delays)

Week 12: Apr 17– Apr 21

  1. Prepare abstract
  2. Free Week again (delays and snags)

Week 13: Apr 24 – Apr 28

  1. Presentation at some point
  2. Finalize web site
  3. Finalize Documentation

Week 14: May 01 – May 05

  1. Finish Web Site
  2. Prepare for Defense of project

Week 15: May 08 – May 12

  1. Wrap up & Return hardware to SNC

** Timeline will likely change since I have commitments to other classes.  Some weeks will just be more open the others. Don’t know what those will be yet so I planned for all weeks to a lot the same amount of time.
