Project Description:

The goal of this project is to build a system that guides visitors through the SNC campus. A device (computer) will talk to them telling them about different features of the SNC campus as they pass them. It will also show a video tour and/or pictures of certain halls and other points of interest.

Requirements:

1) The guide describes campus features (JMS, Cofrin, Main Hall) as a visitor approaches them.

2) The guide can speak but also has a visual mode.

3) A visitor can request to see a special feature and the guide will "show" the way.

4) Investigate additional features.

5) May use a gps unit and/or a compass to help the guide determine a visitor's location.

6) Prototype the guide using a laptop.
