Career Path

Starting at a young age, I have been commercially involved in information technology since mid 1998 and have explored several facets of the field since then. Originally, I thought that I would end up working exclusively in an IT role as my long-term career. Today, I have expanded my primary interests to include the fields of information technology, healthcare and public safety.
Short-term, I see myself gaining additional education and experience in these fields, eventually becoming an osteopathic physician. Slightly longer term, I will likely practice medicine for some time, hopefully in an integrative role, working in more than one of my areas of interest. Ultimately, my goal is to operate my own research and development laboratory, functioning as an inventor, developing innovative technological solutions to current problems in my fields of interest, while continuing to practice medicine part-time.
Having adjusted my career aspirations many times throughout childhood and somewhat since then, I know that what we might plan for ourselves at one moment can and often does change, sometimes suddenly. So, I really cannot say for sure if I will eventually do what I have written here, the best I can do is say that right now, this is what I have in mind.
