Project Timeline

This is a schedule of when I am intending to have certain aspects of my project completed.

March 3rd. 2006
Objective accuracy measurement has been implemented in lab mode and algorithm has been tweaked as best as I feel I can do, based on objective measurements. At this point, I am done working on the core algorithm -- no sense continuing to re-invent the wheel. The core algorithm has been asymptotically analyzed and an upper bound has been established.

March 17th. 2006
In conjunction with other sensing mechanisms and additional supportive algorithms, the Zoom will have reliably and consistently navigated 2 non-trivial routes with 100% autonomy, primarily using my vision algorithms for guidance.

March 31st. 2006
I have prepared a first draft of my formal project presentation.

April 14th. 2006
I have completed a first draft of a scientific paper, suitable for publication in a journal, on the topic of visual lane detection, discussing my algorithms and the results of testing them in the context of this project.

April 21st. 2006
I have completed the final draft of my formal project presentation and rehearsed it at least once.

April 28th. 2006
I have completed a final draft of my scientific paper and researched some possibilities for publication.
