2023: A Capstone Project

The capstone project I have been assigned is Karela. Basically for this project, I will be developing a program that gently teaches students about the basics of programming. The Karel IDE (pictured above) from Stanford is the inspiration for this project. My plan is to focus on making a connection between block coding and text coding to aid students in the transition between them. I believe there is value in both types of coding but there isn’t really a connection between them. I hope to develop a program that gives the visuals of blocks but requires text coding. My initial thoughts are to use C# to complete this project but that is subject to change.
